Sister Joan Dumais, SSJ Oral History

Sister Joan Dumais, SSJ, is a Sister of St. Joseph of Springfield, MA. Sr. Joan has been a sister for 50 years. She was a Sister of St. Anne for 23 years before becoming a Sister of St. Joseph. Sister Joan has taught elementary and junior high for 10 years before moving into healthcare. She obtained degrees in physical therapy and has been practicing physical therapy for 30 years. In her spare time, Sr. Joan enjoys socializing with friends and bird watching.

About Caitlin Duffy - Samantha Licursi

Caitlin Duffy is a sophomore double-majoring in both history and education at Elms College in Chicopee, MA. She hopes to one day be a high school history teacher. She has previously been involved in volunteer work at her local library and had an internship with a local state senator. She enjoys mythology, learning languages, and water-color painting." Samantha Licursi is a sophomore majoring in nursing at Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA, but is originally from Plantsville, CT. Samantha is an active participant of Campus Ministry and is part of the Elms College Leadership Program which is a program only open to sophomores. She is the Secretary of the class of 2017 through Student Government and has been involved with the Student Activity Board for the past two years, and is currently the Travel Director on the board. When she is not busy with her nursing studies, Samantha enjoys reading and socializing with friends. During the Spring of 2015 they were paired with Sister Joan Dumais, SSJ; a Sister of St. Joseph of Springfield.
