Sister Anne Jude Van Lanen, CSA Oral History

Sister Anne Jude Van Lanen, CSA has been a Sister of the Congregation of Saint Agnes for 58 years and has dedicated her life to general nursing, missionary service in Nicaragua, and the Hospice Ministry near her home in Fond du Lac, WI. She was born and raised on a small farm in northeast Wisconsin, the youngest of nine children. Her strong family bonds and solid education prepared and encouraged her to become a first-generation college graduate. As a member of CSA she sees herself as a minister of peacefulness and nonviolence, and is always seeking the best in everyone. It gives her great joy to see the Spirit at work in every individual she meets.

Jennifer Roehl, a Fond du Lac native, is married with three children. Having been a nurse for over thirteen years, she decided on a career change and has headed back to college at Marian University to pursue a degree in thanatology. During the Spring of 2015 she was paired with Sister Anne Jude Van Lanen, CSA; a Sister of the Congregation of Saint Agnes.
