Sacred Heart Schools (sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville) received a 2018 NCSW Mini-grant to fund “The History of St. Angela” a one woman monologue on the foundress of the Ursuline Sisters. The grant funded costumes, set supplies, and training. The play debuted during National Catholic Sisters Week in March of 2018. It was presented to Ursuline Sisters, Ursuline Associates, Board of Trustees, students, and staff.

Fast forward to September 2018 and the start of a brand new school year. The St. Angela costume (new student) and set (handmade door) made possible by the NCSW mini-grant continues to be used. This time at an opening Convocation for Sacred Heart Schools where students, Ursuline Sisters, faculty, and parents gathered to pray as we opened the 2018-2019 school year. St. Angela served as emcee of this event.

Thank you NCSW. We are grateful for your funding. You have made an investment in our mission and future.
