NCSW will be held from March 8 – 14, 2019. Here’s how you can get involved!

NCSW Mini-Grants.

We will, again, be offering Mini-Grants for up to $1,000.00 to support events held during NCSW. The grant application will be available on the NCSW Get Involved page (Link, please Garrett) on September 15th.

Important Dates:

  • September 15th: Applications available.
  • November 15th: Application period closes.
  • December 1st: Successful grantees notified.
  • December 15th: Grant paperwork due to NCSW offices.

Priority will be given to grants that focus upon spirituality, ministry, charism, social justice, engagement with young women, and utilization of social media. We welcome in-person events, online events and a combination of the two.

If you have any questions about the grant process or would like to bounce your ideas off our staff, please e-mail us at to set up a time to speak!

NCSW Event in a Box

A few years ago, we collaborated with Sr. Debbie Borneman, SS.C.M., over at the National Religious Vocation Conference to send out a NCSW celebration kit to some of the country’s top Newman Centers, with much success. In each celebration kit there was a DVD, some snacks, popcorn, and discussion questions. Newman Center staff was encouraged to use the materials in the box to hold a movie night during the week of NCSW.

We thought that this might be of interest to others not affiliated with Newman Centers, and, last year, piloted the 2018 NCSW Event in a Box. We offered a Movie Night in a Box and a Speed Dating in a Box kits, which were met with great enthusiasm.

This year, we will also be offering the Movie Night in a Box kit (with a brand new documentary created by NCSW Staff), as well as a “Meet the Sisters” Panel in a Box kit, which will help you to plan a fun and lively panel discussion with sisters in your area!

Boxes can be ordered by e-mailing our staff at on (or after) October 15th.

NCSW T-Shirts

We will be offering NCSW t-shirts again for sale this year. We will have an NCSW 2019 t-shirt as well as an undated one that can be worn anytime. We wanted to make sure that we let you know of this opportunity in case you wanted to budget for them in your NCSW Mini-Grants

T-shirts will be available for ordering on November 15th – we will provide the links in the November Newsletter!
