Kayla Jackson is a senior majoring in psychology at Dominican University. She is also currently working towards her MSW with Dominican’s Graduate School of Social Work. Kayla is an active member of the student leadership organization SLAM (Student Leadership and Ministry) on campus and currently works in University Ministry as a Service and Justice Intern. Kayla enjoys volunteering and serving with others and singing with the liturgical choir. Kayla’s interest in the Hilton Sisters Project stems from her participation in the summer 2014 Dominican Preaching in Action Conference where she learned the crucial role sisters play in the Dominican Order, and the important role the Sinsinawa Dominican sisters have played and continue to play on the Dominican University campus. During the Spring of 2016 she was paired with Sister Marcella Hermesdorf, OP; a Sinsinawa Dominican.
